DOT Physicals

Schedule the DOT Physical exam necessary to operate commercial motor vehicles.

A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical is an examination mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for commercial motor vehicle drivers. The exam is designed to clear a driver as physically, mentally, and emotionally fit to operate a commercial motor vehicle.

On the successful completion of the exam, the driver will receive a medical examiner’s certificate (MEC) showing that they meet the DOT physical requirements.

A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months.

What to expect during a DOT Physical

FMCSA requires that DOT physicals be performed by a certified medical examiner (CME) listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
